We have been learning about jazz and we have looked at some famous jazz musicians like Glenn Miller.
We have also looked at Ostinato patterns.
Glenn Miller was famous with his jazz band and he has 82 songs.
He was born on the 1st of March in 1904.
He died in december 1944 when his small plane disappeared during bad weather.One of his famous songs was don't sit under the apple tree and In the mood.With Mr Chambers we have been making musical instruments out of recycling.

We have been learning how to make musical instruments like a guitar,shakers,drum,scrapers, and this is how we made a guitar. We got a big box a a big tube and cut a hole in the side of the box.  We put the tube through the hole in the box and made a hole at the end of the tube.  Then we put some elastic bands through the hole at the end of the tube and cut the other end of the tube and put the elastic bands through the hole and plucked it and it worked.

 

In Eagles we have been working on poems, we have looked up some and have made some up, they are about God (or someone else) giving us stuff and us giving him the ruins of it. here is the one I made up myself...

I give you clear fresh sea's,
You give me oil polluted oceans,
I give you fish to keep or eat,
you eat and kill more than you need,
I give you cool crystal water to drink,
you give me heavy acid rain,
i make your life wonderful,
you give me nothing in return,
I give you acres of green,
you give me platforms of concrete,
i give you trust in animals to love for,
you are cruel and vicious towards them,
I give you flowers and good plants,
you give me weeds and dead plants,
I give you friends and family,
you walk away leaving them crying or hurt...
