Robins and Goldfinches Trip to the Farm

As part of our commitment to understanding our local area and to develop our understanding of lambing season Robins and Goldfinches classes headed off to a local farm at the end of Term 4.

We were so lucky to have a tour around the farm and met some very cute lambs!

Whole School Trip to ‘We The Curious’ in Bristol

The whole school set off on excellent adventure to Bristol to explore the science museum We The Curious. The museum was packed full of experiments and activities that pupils of all ages could explore and participate in. As part of our day we entered the dome and took off to space to explore our solar system! A fabulous day.

Ahoy for Pirate Week

In the Spring term our whole school theme was ‘Treasure Around the World’. To celebrate some of the fantastic fiction based around pirates Robins and Goldfinches classes decided to set sail and hold a pirate week consisting of many adventures! From writing our own stories, to STEM activities solving the mystery of the sinking ship the pupils had a great time. The end of the week was celebrated by a treasure hunt – brilliant!

The Wonder Dome visits Baydon

The Wonder Dome came to Baydon School and filled our hall! Funded by our very own FOBS, we were treated to a marvellous time with the science dome inviting each class to come and have a look at the night sky in more detail. Pupils loved the experience and found it very calming at the same time as hugely interesting.

Shakespeare Week 2026 – Macbeth

In March we held our annual Shakespeare Week, with this year our focus being on Macbeth. The story of Macbeth was age-appropriately explored in each class with drama, writing, and art activities.

Dodgeball Superstars

Well done to Year 5 pupils who represented us in the Marlborough Cluster Dodgeball tournament this year. Ms Hayhoe said that ‘watching your confidence grow throughout the morning was such a privilege’.
