BBC Bitesize Parents’ Toolkit is the place for mums, dads, carers, and the whole parenting community to find stories, expert advice and fun activities that will help you support your child in a changing world.

For Baby’s Sake is a website that empowers parents to break cycles of abuse, to transform the life-chances of whole families and move forward in positive change, starting with the baby. Although directed towards younger children it is a good place for support.

 

Foodbanks

Devizes and District Foodbank provide emergency food to people in a crisis in the SN8, SN9 and SN10 areas (Marlborough, Pewsey, Devizes and surrounding villages)

 

The Lambourn Junction Food Bank is a community led initiative to support those in need with food and essential supplies. It is supported by the community with volunteers and donations, as a drop-in, needs led food hub, offering food, household items and toiletries. The Food Bank is operated by The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit community initiative. Food poverty is a real issue and is particularly evident in rural environments. The Lambourn Junction Food Bank has a team of volunteers who ensure the distribution of the groceries to those most in need

Supporting Health Resources

e-bug is a health education programme that provides free educational resources for ages 3-16 on hygiene, microbiology, infections and appropriate antibiotic use. e-Bug resources are designed to promote behaviour change amongst children and young people so they adopt behaviours that can prevent or reduce the transmission of infections in their schools and communities.
