This letter is to introduce myself (Jackie Hollander) as your new Chair of Governors. Many of you will know me already as I have been on the Governing Body for several years representing the clergy in the Whitton Team of Churches to which our church and school belong. I will be acting as interim chair for the coming academic year to ensure the work of School Governance goes on seamlessly. We hope to have a new chair in place next year. Please see the website if you want to know who our Governors currently are and what areas they are involved in.
We are particularly looking for Foundation Governors. We also need someone with Data Protection experience who could check our Data Protection procedures. Could you help us – or do you know someone who could? Please contact me if you want to know what is involved.
As well as full governors, we have some Associate governors. We are grateful to Laura Hallsworth who helps us on the Finance Committee, and Sue Harris who helps us with Wagtails, both as Associate governors. This is another way you could offer help without the full commitment of being on the Governing Body.
The new PlayPods are very much in use and, from what I have seen, the children seem to be enjoying the contents and exploring creatively what they can make and play with them.
We are also celebrating the success of our Dodgeball Team who won the Small School’s Cluster Dodgeball tournament. Well done to them!
I wanted to say a big thank you for all you have done to help us raise money for our various projects – particularly our Building projects. A special thank you to FOBS who have been ace in raising funds to help us realise our dreams! To date, we have covered the staged payments on our share of the new classroom, toilets and boiler which is fantastic!
This is a special term and I always look forward to the Christmas Performances that come at the end of term. I am sure you do too!
Should you want to contact me at any time, as before, please do this via the School Office either by telephone on 01672 540554 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
